Introducing
Seattle Pump & Equipment Company! The decision was a good
one
.SRECO
desired better sales coverage and service capabilities in
the important Seattle Metro / North Washington Territory.
The new owner of Seattle Pump & Equipment was looking
for an opportunity to grow the municipal portion of his business.
|
But Seattle Pump & Equipment Company is no stranger to the
needs of municipalities when it comes to sewer cleaning &
inspection equipment. Seattle pump has been a dealer and service
center for Myers Pumps, John Bean and FMC Pumps since the 1950's.
Northwest and Alaska municipalities have relied on the service
expertise of Seattle Pump for many years and are now very pleased
to have SRECO products available through this local outlet.
Visitors to Seattle Pump's facility near the Ballard District
of Seattle are greeted by a spacious showroom displaying many
products, including SRECO's Flexicam, Traka and an array of
nozzles & cutters. Large SRECO signage in the showroom and
on the building's exterior makes it clear that Seattle Pump
& Equipment is the place for SRECO products and service.
The large inventory of SRECO tools and replacement parts makes
an impression, too.
First to welcome the customers as they enter is Brenda Malone.
Brenda has been involved in all aspects of the company's operation
for over 10 years. If you were to call Setatle Pump on the phone,
Brenda's cheerful voice is most likely what you would hear first. |

Behind
the parts department double doors lead to the Service Department
and this is where you will find the very capable Service Manager,
John McBride. John started out as a mechanic years ago and rose
to his present position. In addition to all the industrial pumps,
pressure washers, sprayers and steam cleaners being serviced,
there is almost always a sewer jet of some sort in for repair
with John's Department.
Off to the right of the showroom is the sales office where Marc
Malone and Steve Jones work (if they are not out in the field
calling on customers). Both Marc and Steve are also longtime
employees of Seattle Pump and have excellent technical knowledge
of the many products they sell.
Steve's area of responsibility is the Seattle Metro Area and
Noth Washington State. Mar handles inside sales and travels
the Eastern Washington territory.
Next door to the sales office you will find the owner, Stuart
Childers, who took over the company just over one year ago.
Stuart, a fine gentleman and astute businessman, saw the best
opportunity to grow Seattle Pump through the municipal portion
of this company. The SRECO product line was a logical choice
in terms of how it fit with his customer mix, other product
lines and service capabilities. The long term relationships
Stuart's people have with municipal customers in the Seattle
area have made the transition easy, and many established SRECO
customers have expressed pleasure with the move and the level
of service provided by Seattle Pump. Not one to isolate himself
to the office, Stuart personally calls the customers in the
Olympic Penninsula, just across the water from Seattle.
So welcome aboard! We look forward to many years of continued
growth in the Northwest and Alaska with Seattle Pump & Equipment
Company. |
