WITH 3/8" RODS

This SRECO-FLEXIBLE tool is used by attaching to either 5/16" or 3/8" rods to insert into the manhole and push into the pipe invert from the street. When it is tightened by turning the rods from the street level, it plugs the line without the operator descending into the potentially dangerous atmosphere of the manhole. The center shaft is threaded, and on the front there is a small, round, metal plate. Two, large nuts hold everything tightly together, The threaded, thick, angled, aluminum plate that expands the rubber cone is attached to the rear of the threaded shaft with a rod coupling. With the rods fastened to the coupling, they turn the aluminum plate, forcing it into the walls to effectively plug the line.
