Proofers have a SRECO-FLEXIBLE patented design for locating obstruction in sewer line. This specially formulated spring-steel skids provide maximum wear and flexibility to this tool. This unique design allows the centrally located, high-velocity water jets to penetrate the obstruction, but not to pass that point unless the pipe is totally cleared. If the proofer becomes lodged in a root mass or other difficult obstruction, it will collapse the skids and allow it to be easily withdrawn. The operator can then note the footage at that point on his report so it can be cleared by some other device. Proofer bodies come in two different sizes: 6" through 10", the standard--and 11 1/2" through 30", which is larger to accomodate longer skids.
